Michelangelo's 'LA PIETA' at St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome is the only piece of art that made me well up inside immediately when I saw it. I am no art expert. I just rely on how a piece of painting or sculpture makes me feel. 'La Pieta' just triggered something in me that is hard to fully explain. Basta nakakaiyak sa ganda! It's like experiencing a miracle with your unworthy eyes so your humbled by its' beauty.
My photograph does not to do it justice but I wanted to remember the feeling I felt when I saw it. Grabe talaga even with the glass enclosure, it just felt majestic. Thankfully, our generation can still experience how great it is.
