Supresahan uli!

Yes, Jan 22 is our first wedding anniversary. Talk about a celebrated weekend!

We started the day, with gifts! Kunwari wala akong gift kasi I gave him a gift for his bday pero siyempre, di puede yun... I bought him a very practical & useful gift this time. I've been pleading to him to buy an electronic shaver since I saw his cuts from his extremely used and old Gilette shaver. So with this perfect opportunity, I bought him his first ever electronic shaver. When he opened it and used it, tinutukso ko siya 'uuuyyy sophistication' haha

I caught his first encounter with his new electronic shaver on video. Too bad I can't post it here, pero ang tagal niyang ginamit yung shaver... haha, parang walang bukas. But I'm happy he's enjoying his new useful toy.

Kasi nung time na yun, wala akong pera masyado. But then I heard a ding dong at our door. It's tulips! Delivered at our doorstep. haha My favorite flowers in the whole wide world! So I was surprised and really happy.

Ang clincher eh ang tula ng aking Dear-o na binasa niya kaya hindi niya nabreak ang record niyang paiyakin ako everytime there's a special occassion. Here's the poem:

We began our life-changing journey with an exchange of I dos

Armed with an eternal promise, to be partners through and through

The ride did not start out smooth, being uprooted in a strange land

Outwardly grand yet inwardly devoid

Leads us to seriously question

Is Singapore a right decision?

Eyes swollen with tears, hearts aching for home

But these only kept us strong

Blossoming like this country does, forced to survive without a hinterland

Our love deepened and God saw it all

He blessed us with this rare gift, now growing inside of you

One year has passed, eyes fixed on the future

Singapore still a question mark

But one thing is certain

This we ought to know all along

We are never alone in this journey after all

Happy Anniversary my dear and I love you even more.

So now you know why I cried...

Isang Surpresa

Jan 21: Ferdie's 29th bday

Dahil late kame matulog, I greeted my husband at 12 mn.
Talk about cramming hehe As some of you couples know, mahirap 'tumakas' kapag lagi kayong magkasama kaya dun lang talaga yung aking 'window' of opportunity.

I got my husband the first-ever season DVD of A-Team. Some of you really know that series pero ako, my memory of A-Team is some kind of a blur. He liked it very much and immediately we watched it.

Here are some pics at Equinox (a restaurant overlooking Singapore), were we had our dinner, also posted pics of the view we saw while eating:

Gong Xi Fa Cai

God is good, He gave me my first ever salary bonus - Chinese New Year and spot (performance-based) bonus. Haha... Yes!

It's just my first kasi during my internship (MA) di naman included ang residents sa bonuses.
On my second job naman, I had to resign to move to Singapore before I got the taste of the big bonus (sana).

It's a great feeling, big boost talaga! Inspired ako to do better and contribute to the company more. Lahat talaga ng pagod at hirap, nasusukilian ng kasaganahan at kasiyahan.

It's really great...

Project Runway wrap up

The first season of PROJECT RUNWAY wrapped up yesterday.

I was moved to tears especially when the one I was rooting for won! I know it's all about fashion and designing - something I never really had too much interest in - BUT, I relate to the creative process and the tremendous hardwork that went through for their last task. I remember my theatre gigs were we practice everyday until we have blisters on our feet or sorethroat or just really dark circles in the eyes - I think there's nothing more soulful than doing something really creative. May it be acting, singing, dancing etc. - it's so much challenge to do things that you can proudly say YOUR OWN. I miss those days... but now I realize I'm taking part of another creative process as I carry our child inside of me... amazing...

Welcome 2006!

Eto naman ang aming aktibidades from New Year's Eve 'till we left for Singapore last Jan 9.

We really welcomed New year's with a bang dahil ang tatay ko may FIREWORKS show every New Year's Eve.

The picture above is Ferdie with my pinsan 'China'. Haha cute pic on New Year's day, nagprapractice ng mag-alaga ang aking asawa.

Okay Jan 2 - 4, we were staying at Sta. Rosa. We got to see recent developments in the lot that we are paying in Southforbes (Sta. Rosa). Sorry kung puro talahib, pero as you can see it's a corner lot and the clubhouse is only walking distance from this lot.

Moving on, we also had a ROC Veterans reunion. Aba! Minsan lang 'to! Salamat Kateh for organising this. We also watched Ria's gig at Magnet. Kakaloka at kakahilo. Sayang hanggang 1 set lang ako.

During the last 4 days in Pinas, activities-filled parin kame.

Since my Kuya Robin also went home from New York, di makukumpleto ang taon kung walagn Hermosa Reunion. It was really nice getting to see everybody again. Kaya naman todo picture taking and pose. We also visited the house being constructed in Marikina (dito nga pala gagawin ang Baby shower sa Jan 29 friends). By then ready na ready na itong bahay.

Jan 7, Digdipper reunion again with Ana who came from LA naman. Thanks Gop for letting us mess up your basement haha. Siyempre hinalay ng boys si Ferdie... hay this 'seductive' theme is really a staple in digdipper pics...

Lastly, the day before we left for Pinas it's my youngest brother Enzo's 10th bday naman. Aba, super active day indeed plus got to see my kababata JP and JM with their babies Zoe and Mica. Cutie babies. Go Eurostar!

Dyan po nagwawakas ang aming bakasyon...

Holidays sa Pinas! (December 2005)

We arrived in Pinas last Dec 21 and we flew back to Singapore on Jan 9.

Dec 21 - rushed to Jollibee after arriving at the airport. yes it was a Jollibee alert. also met with digdipper friends and tasted our most awaited sisig, laing etc. from Dencio's. wahoo!

Dec 22 - Mama's bday, siyempre kain galore uli sa Dad's/Saisaki/Kamayan at Edsa

Dec 23 - Shiny, shimmering, splendid DIGDIPPER Christmas party. It was great to see people opening the presents! Iba talaga. Thanks Neil for the wonderful ODE to DIGDIPPER - natouch talaga ako

.

Dec 24 - Christmas Eve with the Jorge's at Sta. Rosa. Plus got to see Tagaytay once again. Sarap talaga ng hangin doon and relaxing.

Dec 25 - Christmas day at Marikina with Hermosa's and Siasoco's (father side/mother side ko). Daming chikiting and daming pagkain! Got to taste my lola's famous Kare-Kare with matching manggang hilaw + my mom's famous Callos

Dec 26-28 - Time to see the beach so we went to Grande Island, Subic (me, Mama, Ferdie, Enzo and Cholo). Some relax time kaso mejo natagtag ang buntis sa biyahe.

Dec 29 - Jorge Reunion sa San Mateo and RARE (Ferdie's PSRC barkada) reunion

Picnic adventure. Daming tao grabe! (above right)
